The ALCF AI Testbed's SambaNova DataScale SN30 Gen 2 system has been deployed and is available to users.
The second-generation SambaNova DataScale system is comprised of eight nodes for a total of 64 next-generation SN-30 Reconfigurable Datascale AI accelerators. This system enables you to work on a wide range of AI-for-science applications, making massive AI models and datasets more tractable.
Existing SambaNova users have access to the new system, and we strongly encourage you to transition to the new Gen 2 system as soon as possible. We will decommission the Gen 1 system in the next month or so. We’ll send more information as we get closer to the date.
Please note: The new Gen 2 system shares the same filesystem as our Gen 1 system.
Researchers can now submit project proposals to use the SambaNova DataScale Gen 2 system via the ALCF's Director's Discretionary program. There is no submission deadline; proposals will be accepted throughout the year.
