UCLA Geophysicist Jonathan Aurnou and his colleagues from the Computational Infrastructure for Geodynamics (CIG) are carrying out massive 3-D simulations at the Argonne Leadership Computing Facility to model and predict the turbulent interior processes that produce magnetic fields on Earth, Jupiter, and the Sun.
