Field work: Site Selection and Plant Data Collection

Jim Adamiec
Seminar

As a summer student I have been working in support of a project to set up an integrated sensor network. The sensor network will stream a variety of data into a cloud storage-computing system where it will be available to users for further analysis. In support of this project I have been using a variety of sensor equipment, including a chlorophyll meter, nitrate meter, and hyperspectral camera to gather data from the field. Additionally, I have worked on site selection of a wetland location to be used for long term data collection. My talk will give an overview of the equipment used as well as some considerations for choosing an appropriate study location.
