Experience with Directive-based Programming Approach on π, the supercomputer of SJTU

Directive-based programming, such as OpenMP and OpenACC, seems provide a high-level and productive method to application developers. In this talk, I will first evaluate the existing directive-based tools and then introduce our recent performance portability research work on π, the supercomputer of SJTU has both Nvidia Kepler and Intel Knights Corner inside.

Bio:
James Lin is the vice director of Center for High Performance Center, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and as well as a visiting associate of Global Scientific Information and Computing Center, Tokyo Institute of Technology. His research interests include many-core programming on massive heterogeneous system. He serves as a TPC member for SC13 and HPC China 2012/2013.
