Workshop Intermediate
THETA

August 16 - 19, 2016

Argonne Leadership Computing Facility

In this workshop, developers from the ALCF's Theta Early Science Program (ESP) projects will have access to the new Theta supercomputer to work on porting, benchmarking, and optimizing  their applications. The event will include two half-days of instruction from Intel and Cray on their development and systems software. The remainder of workshop time will be unstructured hands-on work.

  • Days 1 & 2 | Intel - Intel applications experts will help attendees use the Intel development environment, and understand issues related to the KNL hardware (memory hierarchy, etc.).
  • Days 3 & 4 | Cray - Cray experts will help attendees use the Cray development environment, and understand issues related to Cray hardware and system software.
