Eugene is joining the ALCF's data science group as a post-bachelors appointee. Eugene has a Bachelor's degree in Data Science(major) and Mathematics (minor) from University of California, San Diego. His previous research involved improving Graph Neural Networks and using other deep learning architectures to analyze waveform data for the discovery of neutrinoless double beta decay. Eugene will be working on vision transformer based models for science and benchmarking the use cases on Aurora and state-of-the-art scaling techniques.
