Tomorrow, Friday, August 8, the ALCF will be replacing the two existing login servers with two new servers running Ubuntu 24.04.

During the replacement, any jobs or sessions on the old servers will be terminated; however, any scheduled jobs will continue to run.

Furthermore, beginning at approximately 10:00 a.m. (CDT), for approximately 15 minutes users will be unable to log in via ssh DNS for groq.alcf.anl.gov cuts over from the old servers to the new servers. If you previously logged into specific login servers, you will need to use the new servers' DNS names:  
groq-login-01.ai.alcf.anl.gov -> groq-login-03.ai.alcf.anl.gov
groq-login-02.ai.alcf.anl.gov -> groq-login-04.ai.alcf.anl.gov
