Argonne nanoscientist Anirudha Sumant has been awarded the 2017 TechConnect National Innovation Award for a method that significantly cuts the time and cost needed to grow graphene. Last year, his team at Argonne won this award for a new technology based on graphene-nanodiamond for achieving superlubricity. This research used resources at Argonne's Center for Nanoscale Materials, the Argonne Leadership Computing Facility, and NERSC at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
